Peter SIMON was Born in Louvain (Leuven) in Belgium with Dutch as his mother tongue. In 1995 Peter SIMON obtained his University degree in Translation with a specialisation in German and Russian at the Higher Institute for Translators and Interpreters, part of the University of Antwerp, well-known and internationally recognized for its master’s degree in translation. His degree included periods in Germany and Russia to perfect his knowledge of those languages. In Belgium, he started to work for the Austrian Embassy and simultaneously became a sworn translator to the Court of Leuven. His career developed in more than one dimension: his excellent knowledge of German allowed him to trace a career in customer service management, and he pursued a successful career in logistics and finally supply chain in several multinational companies in the chemical industry with a specialisation in software applications and in particular ERP. This makes him a unique asset in terms of translation for such companies. Thanks to his career path, besides his mother tongue Dutch, he is fluent in English, French, German and Russian.
In 2012, he became a sworn translator to the Court of Mulhouse for Dutch, and in 2014, he was recognized as a sworn translator for German and Russian.
In 2015 he becomes a member of the Chambre des Traducteurs de l’Est en the French Association of Translators (SFT).
